What is Tae Kwon Do?
Taekwondo, which is a national martial art of Korea, is one of the proudest cultural heritages for the Korean people. Taekwondo has been developed into a modern sport as a result of painstaking researches and experiences by the Taekwondo practitioners through their incessant upgrading of technical and spiritual refinement. At the same time, it has been firmly established as a real national martial art enabling the people to defend the nation.
Founded in 2003 by Grand Master Kim, Victory TaeKwonDo Academy began as a small studio in Pennington, NJ. Starting with only 20 students word steadily spread of Grand Master Kim and the amazing classes he taught. Victory TaeKwonDo has since grown to include two locations, multiple experienced instructors, and a large body of dedicated students.

Grand Master Sang Hee Kim
Born in South Korea, Master Kim has been practicing martial arts since he was 9 years old. He has trained in Tang Soo Do, Hapkido, Taekwondo, Hanol Kuk Moo Ye, and Krav Maga. His accomplishments include awards from several Pan-Am Games and a 7th degree black belt in Taekwondo, a 7th degree black belt in Tang Soo Do as well as a 6th degree black belt in Hanol Kuk Moo Ye and 5th degree black belt in Hapkido. A veteran in South Korean military Master Kim he has trained Korean and U.S military and police in hand-to-hand combat. He currently operates two schools one in Pennington and one in West Windsor. He has a wife and two children, Eddie and Lauren.
Working along side Grand Master Kim are several assistant instructors. Trained by Grand Master Kim these instructors help students focus on areas of improvement and give a personal touch to our classes.
